I wouldn't be surprised if most people who enjoyed reactions did so for the same reason, OP, so I hope you don't feel bad about it. I also hope you find more friends who enjoy the same media you do, though.

Yeah, I think so too. There is this feeling of sharing joy. And a lot of people do like reaction videos.
I don't feel bad for enjoying, they are fun and they are good background for my work. But wow did I realize how isolated I feel. Especially since I had to cut social media heavily for my mental health.

When I got into kpop it was the reaction videos that kept me around for so long. Friends reacting together made me realize I'm really lonely and I got a sense of friendship from watching reaction videos ]:
