I didn’t mean that superheroes aren’t everywhere. I feel like that’s just objectively true that they are. Just that I don’t see people talking about whether superhero movies are nerd culture or not nearly as much as I see people complaining about superhero movies or defensive fans of said superhero movies. It’s fine to complain about their prevalence everywhere, because that’s an understandable thing to do. I didn’t make that clear that I thought that in my response.

It sucks that superheroes have taken over so much that it was that hard for your niece to get her pirate toys, that is frustrating. I like superheroes, but having just one kind of thing be so front and center every place you look is way past overkill.
