Question for people who have an active DW account

Is it worth it to make an account and try and get back into the journaling game? I miss it and made some good friends back in the day, but the site seems like maybe it's still functional for those who have been here and have solid communities and friends but past it's prime for fresh ventures.

I've been using DW regularly for nearly a year now, I'd say it is totally worth it. I wasn't around for the LJ days so this website and its userbase was entirely new to me, but I made some cool friends pretty fast just from lurking through the Latest Things and Interests tabs.
