I had a lit teacher who was a total Russaboo. My family having been abused by Russia for...basically all time until fairly recently, I was not impressed. Especially about the notion that you gain something by being oppressed.

It's like those pretentious privileged assholes who want to live an "authentic" life with poverty thinking it'll improve their characters. Poverty is shit.
