For context, Monster Factory is a youtube series where Griffin and Justin McElroy use video game character creation to create... monsters. (Although Truck Shepard was created using a save editor to mess with the game).

I think the difference is that Borth is somewhat human - you can tell he was crafted, whereas Truck is a computer trying to render a set of numbers outside the intended bounds. Borth Sampson isn't in the uncanny valley, but he's much closer than Truck Shepard.
