Eh, to be honest, I don't think the op does need a thicker skin because they've fully got the right to be offended. What they don't have is the right to force fandom to mollycoddle them because of it.

Yeah, that...honestly, that sounded more like some random insult coming out of left field more than anything else. I'm glad they said that they knew it wasn't the case, but still, very weird.

That's what I didn't get about this secret, honestly.

I've seen the racewank/nationalitywank over Hetalia, but where do guro and rapefic come into it? And then I see that it's based on the anonmeme, and I'm thinking, wait, what? That's a place for kink, of course there's going to be some skeevy and/or possibly squicky stuff around there. But what on earth does that have to do with nationality/racewank? How is it possible to find something offensive about race or nationality in guro, unless it's full of racial slurs or something? And if one's already on the kinkmeme, they've probably gotten over whatever issues they had with the whole premise of Hetalia, so... how could guro or whatever kink do anything to...?

Though I'm almost wondering if this is a troll, given that little racewank-staple of "You white girls just can't understand" near the end.

Not the OP & actually know nothing about Hetalia, but considering its premise, I can easily see that in view of the atrocities committed during the war to basically (re)write them for shits and giggles or kinks - especially with the same countries involved in the same constellation - could be seen as offensive. It's really not that far-fetched.

Okay, I understand that (kind of. Personally, I don't find it that bad, considering all the other mock-ups of various wars and tragedies throughout history that are prevalent in tons of other media, but I don't know, maybe the fact that it's silly anime as opposed to cutting live-action wit sets off firebells in people's ears or something).

What I don't understand is why someone who's already so involved in the fandom of this comic that they're on the kink meme would get upset about whatever porn they find. Obviously, they don't have any inhibitions about the potentially offensive material of the comic itself, so what more could they find in the kink meme? o.0
