I want to hear the story of how the hell you started to ship it. o_O I feel like it could be epic.

That's actually brilliant. Who would kill the other first?

I reckon... Lore. But only by virtue of the Joker, as a human, being a lot easier to kill. I think they'd both try to kill each other many times but the other would always be half a step ahead, and they would be okay with that. It would be like a game to them and they'd want to keep playing for as long as possible after finally having found a worthy opponent.

...How... How did this happen? I don't care if this is total BS, I want to know the "reason" (real or made up) of how this works.

I mean, how do they get along? They're both always up to no good, so they know where the other is coming from, but Joker's gonna be pissed when he finds out that upon consummating their...erm, relationship, that Lore secretly planned on feeding him to the Crystalline Entity.

I just think they'd appreciate (in a grudging, pschopathic way) each other's dark genius and selfishness. I once saw the Joker described as a man who "does terrible, terrible things simply because he enjoys them." and I think that applies to Lore as well. They both are interested basically in what they want and see no means as too extreme for acheiving their ends, and they share a complete disregard for human life.

I like to think they'd find each other interesting, a challenge; they'd want to keep each other close both to watch and appreciate the craft of the other and as a game, to keep them on their toes. So Lore would make a deal with the Crystalling Entity but you know the Joker would have rigged up explosives to go off in Lore's face when he tried to transport work the trasporter to beam the Joker out. I think they'd be fascinated with each other: it would be a competition. Overused similie, I know, but like a chess game: two brilliant if cracked minds fighting each other and getting off on it.

Yeah, I see it now. It's similar to the dynamic in the Nolanverse Joker/Patrick Bateman fics, where they admire each other for their murderous tendencies etc. and commit some very disturbing crimes together. The Joker even watches Patrick do things to victims, watches him work. Very twisted and satisfying fics.

I agree that the Joker would have plenty up his sleeve and Lore would get a face full of explosives. I can see the mutual interest/respect they would have for each other that would inspire their need to one up each other until one of them finally slips up and bites it, which would most likely be the Joker since Lore's got that synthetic edge over him. But, the Joker is pretty crafty, so he's a definite match.

I can see the Joker clearly, but I'd love to see how Lore handled his retaliations and if they'd do anything together.

Now I actually want to read this thing. Damn it. It sounds intriguing and quite promising. Maybe some day, it will be written and I'll see it posted to

batover or some crossover community...

I just have to share that I read that as "Joker/Love" and I was like "...aw...that's weirdly nice."

For a second I'd thought OP'd been watching my RPG, where we have a creepy-family Harley/Lore/Comatose Joker thing going on.
