Blah blah, this is a book written by one person, not a reflection of the franchise as a whole, blabbity blah.

Anyway. I very much doubt (or at least, hope) that race had anything to do with that choice. Without having read the book myself, I can't really say for sure, but sometimes race just doesn't come into play. I can think of a bunch of other options for her not having a happy ending, though. (Example: They want people to ship Chakotay/7, they wanted to have a Captain with a tragic love story and found it easier to do from a woman's POV (which could involve sexism, w/e)...

I don't know, especially in situations like this, I always think that plot and characters come first. Race is never an issue, unless it's ALIEN RACE OH NO OUR CULTURES CLASH or something like that.

Anyway, haven't read the book so couldn't say for sure, but to me it sounds a lot more like you're being paranoid than something they would have done to punish her.

Twilight haters who hate the book without having read it rankle me so bad. Omg, I don't care either way if you hate the series or love it, but ever heard of arriving at your own opinions by yourself instead of parroting what everyone else says?

n!f 1. Seeing that commercial makes ME want to try it too. They may be entirely useless but darn it, that was entertaining.

n!s 1: It's in hiding because Night at the Museum apparently does not warrant much fic for strange reasons. Although personally, that pairing strikes me as them trying a little too hard. It was like all of the museum-exhibits were crazy shippers pushing their unwanted advice and interpretations on poor Larry, and that is just not fly.

Also I was kind of hohum on their relationship developing THAT FAST especially since it was Amelia Earheart we were talking about, but then slowed down and remembered that they're not the ACTUAL historical people they portray, and it went down a little bit easier then. It even managed to be a little bit adorable there at the end.

And of course, the real ship-action was to be found in Octavius and Jebediah's 300-moment. Most. Awesome. Part of the film.

Does Night at the Museum have a fandom? I'm suddenly intrigued.
