I used to LOVE Hidden Frontier! In fact, I still have one of their flyers from a con I went to years ago hanging on my wall. This secret has inspired me to catch up with everything they've done since I fell off the wagon. Thank you anon!

I'd assume most of the HF fandom is on the forums at the site... which is great, getting a chance to interact so closely with the creators, but sometimes having that distance isn't so bad either. For instance, if that fic you're talking about is of an adult nature, the writers and actors could see it. It's hard for me to imagine being comfortable with a NC-17 fic inspired by a fan film in comparison to a big budget film, if that makes sense. I know it's hypocritical but it's true.

Hmm... I'd be hesitant to make a comm for that kind of content, just because the crew/cast could easily find a HF-specific comm (plus, as I said, it's almost a little incestuous writing fic about fellow fans, even if the content they're creating is nearly as good as the canon content). I wonder if trek_slash would accept HF fic? It's worth a shot.
