What tv shows have the best theme song/tune? What tv shows have the best opening credits?

As much as the show itself annoys me, the Big Bang Theory theme song gets stuck in my head whenever I happen to walk in the room and someone else is watching it. There's a theme song from another show that's stuck in my head right now, but it doesn't have any words and I'm not sure what it is. I was thinking possibly Community, but I just looked it up and it's not that...I haven't seen it in so long I forgot there's words to that song. That one's decent. Oh, and Scrubs! I used to love that theme song. The unknown one is going to drive me crazy though...I think it's from a comedy, but I'm not 100% sure. Arrgh.

As for opening credits, the two that come to mind are Dexter and True Blood. I feel like there's something much more recent that I thought had a good opening but now I can't remember what it is.

How I Met Your Mother! That was the one I was thinking of it in the other comment. I don't know if I'd say it's a great theme, but it was able to get stuck in my head despite not watching the show since the series finale, so maybe that says something, IDK. Oh, and the Law & Order ones are kind of iconic, I guess, though I don't know if I'd say best.

And Animal Kingdom is another one that I think has a cool opening. Still can't think of what the one I was thinking of in my other comment was, though.

True Blood's opening credits are the best by a mile, IMO. I don't even like the show all that much, but I am absolutely obsessed with the credits, they're so fucking good.

The thing I love most about them is that they are legitimately artistic and conceptually and thematically rich, while also being very fun and good at getting me hyped for the show. Most opening credits basically pick a single lane; they're either high-brow and artsy, or they're a basic-af clip-show set to fun music. True Blood's credits are the only credits I've seen that score a 10/10 on both fronts simultaneously (IMO).

Game of Thrones was great. Especially when it updated for new events. And I just love the music.

The X-Files opening is so iconic that people who've never seen the show know it. It is also GREAT for whistling.

Not technically an opening, but I've also always loved The Simpsons couch gag.

Oz and Black Sails have the best openings IMHO. I've never skipped them.
Oz because the use of the footage is incredibly interesting. It's footage that's taken from scenes of the shows and it differs from season to season, with mild "spoilers" thrown in.
Black sails is just beautiful. That music!!!

Too many to list. Especially because I’m bad at narrowing things I like down and deciding what’s the best or my favorite. So I’ll just say that I just thought of the cartoon Code Lyoko yesterday for the first time in a while, and the English version of the theme has been stuck in my head since.

People have already mentioned a lot ofbthe Ines that came to mind, so I'll just add in to that the Adventure Time theme has always been a favorite.

Xena's opening theme. Golden Girls has such a memorable theme song! As did Girlfriends!

X-Men Animated series from the 90s fucking best! Static Shock and z Pokemon have great openers as well. Sailor moon and card captor as well!

Most of Inuyasha's ending themes, especially Come and Sword of Truth. The first theme from The Wallflower anime. And I forget which season, but the song title is Red Bird or something for Attack on Titan.

Everyone naming GoT, but I think that Westworld is better Ramin Djawadi tune. (ok, Pacific Rim is his better tune, but it's not a show)

Also I do enjoy Only Murders in the Building theme, even though they overplay it. Also their credits are just extremely cute
