What other "quirky classic" films do you secretly think should die in a fire?

Coming out of the gate hot with Rushmore.

I like that movie, but it’s not for everyone. My partner actually really hates Ferris as a character.

Pulp Fiction. I hate that movie.

Me too. I didn’t mind it at first, even though it was always one of my least favorite Tarantino movies. But my stepfather is obsessed with it, and won’t shut up about it sometimes. Everything seems to remind him of a quote or moment from it. And he’s the kind of person to try to force catchphrases even though it annoys everyone else, and one of his is that he’ll say “That is a tasty burger” every time he eats something good(not just burgers either), always copying the exact inflection of the Samuel L. Jackson line. He also recommends the movie to everyone, including my 90 year old grandmother who definitely doesn’t like violent films.

So yeah, that ruined any chance of me liking the movie even a little.

I love it but I'm very accepting of the fact that a lot of people hate it.

Not a fan either. I can appreciate a lot about it, but will never get the big appeal.

Seconding the "do not get its appeal." It was entertaining once, more or less? In a "this content creator clearly watched a fuckton of musicals before deciding to break as many rules as they could manage with every song" way? But it's just barely got a plot, and the characterizations seem to be playing with umpteen million references to things that just did not exist any more when I was growing up. And had already not existed for quite a while. Still, I somehow went to university with a fuckton of people my age who regard it as this pivotal milestone of cultural, queer awakening. *shrugs*
