Gosh, I can't wait for this game. 11:00 pm CDT can't come fast enough.

I'm going hunting for a physical copy for my partner as soon as stores open tomorrow-- I've got a list of three places that I'm definitely hitting before lunch, and others that might work if I don't find a copy quickly enough.

Goofball didn't pre-order anywhere because they thought it was just going to be BOTW Again and they'd already played that, but recent trailers (*cough*Gannondorf*cough) convinced them it was going to be super epic, so now I've volunteered to track it down.

I’m so excited! Mine is downloading but it’s taking forever. Which was totally expected of course but I’m still just too excited to deal with realistic things like download speeds :D

I think I'm going to get it. I haven't played breath of the wild, and the last one I played were Gameboy oracle of the seasons/ages. Which I'm told if I enjoyed those I should check out link's awakening....

The question now is physical copy or digital?

Link’s Awakening would be a great game for you! Breath of the Wild and the new one, Tears of the Kingdom, are very different from the older games. I recommend watching some letsplays before buying either BotW or TotK.
I’m only two hours into TotK but so far while it’s helpful to have played BotW first, it doesn’t seem to be necessary.

Yeah, I think I'll get Link's Awakening and I kinda want to skip BotW and just go for TotK. Especially if it's not super needed to play the sequel.
