And considering the narrator is nigh omniscient it would be ridiculously and weirdly OOC. Like... just write original fic at that point OOC.

I think that's part of the appeal to me, actually. Super powerful, nigh omniscient character who is only naïve in this one area.

Imagine the disbelief of such a character, who believes this must be some world-ending anomaly, only to be told be by someone he sees as beneath him that's its a perfectly mundane human function. Imagine the indignation of having to be guided in this very intimate way. Imagine if he gains a grudging respect for Stanley being able to help him when he needs it most. At lest, that's what I'm imagining.
