I loved the song. It was a departure for Star Trek, but absolutely captured the vibe of its time and its characters. Cheesy? Sure, but it fit. I loved the show, and aside from Trek-typical nonsense like male crew members sleeping around with hot alien chicks, I never understood people's complaints about it. I thought it was more solidly written and acted than DS9 or even Voyager. I was heartbroken when it ended, as a whole era of a new Trek show always in production went with it. I felt like Enterprise was evidence that producers were finally figuring out how to make a Trek show that didn't have lots of bad episodes, that didn't go off on weird tangents, and that didn't shy away from emotions and relationships for fear of not being considered sufficiently hard scifi. I don't think Enterprise gets the respect it deserves. I'm glad to hear you like it, OP.
