If you have access to fandom secrets then you have access to Memory Alpha and Google.

I just used Google and all the results are about STID - are their other examples? That's the only one that Google showed me.

One could argue that one element of Picard s1 is inspired by 9/11 'truthery' ie. The terrible disaster that scotched the Romulan evacuation was caused by a conspiracy of Romulans.

That said... it's like a starting point? How people react to the disaster at all, increased levels of paranoia, whether they choose to keep their hands open - and it's clear that that's a *choice*.

There's some solid storytelling in there, it's not just borrowing a conspiracy theory for funsies.

Also, it's kind of the reverse of a 9/11 Truther theory - it starts off everyone thinking it's an inside job (the synths), but it turns out that it was actually planned by foreign religious fanatics.
