Totally agree on the squick. And honestly, one of my favorite tropes is the basic opposite where the sub is the enthusiastic one, the one with the experience, the one suggesting ideas for what they want the dom to do to them.

My preference for reading and writing both is mostly everybody does everything and no hard and fast 'roles', but if someone is going to be sub-like, I want them to fight like hell (because it's fun to fight and lose and give in, not because it's non-con).

WHICH IS MY OTHER HUGE SQUICK - non-con or dub-con draped in BDSM. DNW.

Oh yes. Honestly, one of the reasons I prefer BDSM or at least clear D/s to a lot of other stuff is a lot of time you have the dynamic of D/s anyway, just without the rules. And you end up with a whole lot of stuff that really is noncon. Which, if that is someone's kink, cool. But hard squick for me.

Yeah, I refuse to read any fic with non-con or rape as part of the plot.

I'll read it in, like, character study stuff, not as a porn thing. But I don't want it in my porn. A lot of times it isn't labelled, though. Which is frustrating.

I'm just...over it. I hate it in movies, in tv shows, in everything. As a plot device, I am sick of it and it's always just done so grossly and horribly, OR done as this throw-away thing and I just...DNW. Blech.
