We have all sorts of deferred maintenance around the house, including two broken lights and a broken pocket door. It's been literal years. We finally got started by doing one thing each weekend, and by thing I mean one task no matter how small: choose a light fixture, buy the light fixture, pick up the light fixture, call electrician - now it's been a month but we actually have an appointment and an end date for the darkness! Hopefully by the end of the year we'll have everything back in order.
