I like the original NIN version more than Cash's cover but Mr. Cash made it his own and it stands out just as much as Trent's. The video is hella sad because you can see how old and frail Mr. Cash had become.

I do agree!
He really made it's own and it is good. I just prefer original a bit more and I get frustrated when people attribute Hurt to Cash. Tbf I hate when people attribute songs to artists of more popular covers even when I don't like the original.
