This. OP, I was thinking as I read your vent that if someone did a summary like that with my favorite male main character I would think it a Marty Stu. Like the commenter above said, the summary is supposed to tell the reader how your story either differs from canon or fleshes out canon - for plot, for tone, for genre, etc etc. Focusing on telling me about the main character primes me to expect the character to be changed from the source material and thus completely OOC. So, now I expect the story to either be badly characterized or deliberately written as a stand in for the author.

Well I will admit I might have been overlooking somethings because I was multitasking so I guess I look stupid now.

My intention was not to do a description of her to dazzle the readers but describing herself and her situation she's in because of some negative aspects of her... well differences from other people. I dunno if I would have used the word "exceptional" as the person who criticized me did. More like.. differences or difficulties.

But like I said I was dealing with some other frustrating stuff at the time so I may be ... kinda uh not in the best state of mind so maybe my vent is dumb.
