TLJ's quality aside, this strikes me as an extremely hollow argument. The youtube-clickbait-media-complex is full of Entire Industries discussing the Quality of Things. Across the Spiderverse has only been out for a few weeks and youtube is going absolutely feral trying to feed me an algorithm stuffed entirely with "this thing is great" - even thought I think most people agree that it is, in fact, great.
There are entire actual academic industries multiple centuries old discussing why Shakespeare or Milton or fucking Homer are great.
I'm not saying TLJ is on the level of any of those (LMAO) just that the existence of a dedicated fanbase making a cottage industry out of pro-thing commentary is not exactly, historically, a mark that Thing is obviously or objectively bad.
