He actually said the other day how much he misses potatoes! Literally just "GOD I MISS POTATOES." If they're super liquidy and buttery that could work!

Soup is definitely a good shout; my partner makes an amazing butternut squash soup but my dad isn't a squash lover. Though I imagine he'd be willing to try it at this point.

We got a good blender recently so I'll definitely look into smoothie recipes. He loves cream cheese too. Thank you so much. <3

A potato soup might be a good idea, then! They're usually chock full of cream, butter, sour cream, etc. so that might help get some weight on him.

Yeah, if you add enough butter and some heavy cream you can make the potatoes pretty liquidy! The other person's suggestion of potato soup is really good, too!

I thought of a recipe that could be good, if he's a fan of peanut butter: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/12181/no-bake-peanut-butter-pie/

Just make the filling, and if you add extra milk, it can be pretty liquidy.

And since you said he loves cream cheese, I found this:

Fortified milk powder in mashed potato or potato soup is also recommended for getting calories into patients, and thin smoothies might be an option? I'm so sorry for what you and your family are going through.
