I loved the movie! But I get you, it's also not one of my favorite parts of the movie and maybe it would have been more interesting if it was genuinely a small group by Miguel. (still, I don't dislike it as much as you do, and it was fun seeing various spidey designs.)

I also thought the movie was a bit ... too much of everything. And I know it was supposed to be zany and meta and all but I got super tired of all the lolrandom versions of Spider-somethings after a while. At some point I was just rolling my eyes at "oh look a Spider-T-Rex very funny haha".

I loved most of it but hated the surprise format twist--they should advertize harder that it's not merely the second installment in a trilogy but the first half of a two-parter, omg

They did advertise that at the start. They just stopped after a while for some reason. It definitely wasn’t supposed to be a “surprise format twist”, that’s a weird assumption
