Seriously, I wish the terfs out there would channel this much energy into focusing on stopping mass shootings, or making sure people had access to universal healthcare or a decent living wage, or things of that sort. Imagine how much safer and healthier and generally better off we'd all be.

But nah. Totally better to spend time kicking already marginalized groups of people while they're down and treating them like shit and taking away their basic civil and human rights. Clearly a productive use of one's time.

Well, it sure as fuck looks that way when, from my experience, at least, the same people ranting about transgender people never seem to chime in on any of those other issues, or offer up solutions/suggestions for how to deal with those issues, or continue to support politicians and policies that target transgender people while also doing nothing to address the actual issues that are a threat to our society. What the hell else am I supposed to take away from that?

To say nothing of how people who have no interest in helping and protecting the more vulnerable and marginalized communities out there, like transgender people, generally don't tend to have a great track record of doing much to help and protect society as a whole, so...yeah.

Also, please look up the definition of cult speak/arguing, 'cause this ain't it. But nice try.

Really? So why don't I ever seem to hear TERFs championing any of that stuff, or encouraging support for that stuff? Seems every time I hear TERFs ranting about a political issue, it's about, well, transgender people.

And in my experience, the people who are TERFs generally tend to overlap with those who don't care about any of the above stuff, either, so... Or if they do, they still keep voting for politicians who will do nothing about that stuff, 'cause, y'know, those Democrats are just getting too "far-left" with their support of transgender people, or whatever other bullshit reasons/excuses they want to toss out. Voting against one's own self-interests is a thing, after all.

Because you don't identify them as TERFs when they aren't talking about trans people? This isn't meant as criticism exactly - I hold views that would get me called TERF online in many places, but when I'm interacting with people over the fact that none of us want more cop violence, or appreciate the right's attempts to merge church and state, or want Snowden prosecuted, I don't know which of them would agree with the idea that altering hormone levels and having plastic surgery don't make anyone the opposite sex, either. It's not relevant.
