Did you accidentally a word somewhere OP

Same. I look aty AO3 inbox once in a blue moon. Once, I found out that there was a kerfuffle well over a year ago when someone posted my fics to Wattpad under their own name. People were upset on my behalf, leaving comments of support and outrage on my fics.

And I thought it was sweet of strangers to care, but I don't. If whoever uploaded my fics gets something out of it, more power to them. I just don't care. Not about the plagiarism, not about the "lost" hits or comments. Once I've uploaded a fic I essentially lose all interest in it.

Kudos make me happy. Clicks make me happy. Reviews make me happy. Just knowing there are people reading my fics makes me happy. Beyond that, I don't care. I don't get mad when people don't kudo or review. I'm just happy that anyone is clicking on my fics.

That's a nice attitude!

I'm the same. Knowing that other fans enjoyed my work and interacting with those people through comments is always lovely and makes me happy. But I just don't understand the people who stat-watch and get mad about not having enough hits, or a poor kudos ratio or whatever. Doesn't that suck all the fun out of fandom?

I don't care about having 'success' with my stats or anything, but I am guilty for checking it frequently ever since I found out you can see how many people have secretly bookmarked a fic. It makes me happy to see it idk.

I definitely value and appreciate kudos and comments. (I like knowing someone found worth in what I made, yeah?)

That said, what I make is usually so incredibly niche that my internal bar for "a good number of comments" is two.

This is me! My fandom darlings are minor league.

Tiny Fandom High Five!

My friend was surprised to learn that I actually do care a lot about feedback because I am into niche things. Still I do! Just for some fandoms two comments is really enough

Oh man I’m glad it’s not just me! I always thank people who leave a comment and I love to leave comments but it’s literally just fine if my stuff sits there.

I’m an old hag in fandom terms though :)
