They are the most realistic Disney villains. They are not bad guys at all, they are just a little lazy and self centered, and they just unquestioningly do their job without wondering why their boss got weird. Their only real concern is that they get their overtime pay.

Ferngully wasn’t made by Disney. But maybe you knew that and were just saying that they had a Disney villain feel?

The movie does feel like an attempt to ape Disney’s formula either way, and it fails imo. That doesn’t mean that I didn’t still watch it when it came out.

I thought they were? The movie was made by Fox, Fox is now owned by Disney. That kinda makes them Disney villains.

It wasn’t made by Disney originally though. But I suppose you’re right in that acquiring the people who did make the movie makes them honorary Disney villains in a way.
