What is some media you haven't watched yet but really want to?


I really want to give Strange New Worlds a try. One of these days, when I'm up for new media and not just a rewatch, it is first on my list.

Probably Yellow Jackets but I don't have Paramount+ and I don't like watching anything on dodgy/pirated sites (also I am worried I'll hate it like most new shows)

Oh man, I hate it when I'm excited about something and then I end up hating it. I really hope you do enjoy Yellow Jackets when you are able to watch it.

Anyway, Yellowjackets are quite fun even though I don't really believe in it's writers to pull this plot through.

I've been enjoying it a lot. It's a bit more "one story per episode" than a lot of nutrek, so you might find it easier to just dabble a bit. (In the meantime, enjoy all your old favourites.)

That is one reason why I want to give it a try. I don't have the mental energy for non-episodic right now. So something that is at least mostly episodic in nature might be something I could handle.

FWIW I watched the first couple episodes recently and I liked it a lot, and also found it a pretty easy, comfortable watch. Just really great characters and cast, mostly.

Actually watching new media is a very slow process for me (usually a tv show once every two years; around two movies a year). But I have a list! In no particular order:

Hunt for the Wilderpeople
Manner of Death
The Devil Judge
Yuri on Ice
Word of Honor
Oh My General
Spotlight
Mulan: Rise of a Warrior (the 2009 actual Chinese movie, not the Disney shit)

One movie slot this year is reserved for Barbie and the other is reserved for Man Suang if it gets an international release.

I've heard everywhere that it's a great show.

I dont have Hulu and am too lazy to find pirated places to watch/too lazy to actually just get Hulu

I heard good things about The Leftovers and Silo. Haven't started yet. Also for some reason Last of Us gave me slight anxiety attack so I had to drop it but I am still interested. And I probably should find something less apocalyptic to watch too

Succession. I know I'll probably like it as someone who eats up any media about the media industry, but it seems like a lot to latch onto (and missing out on the hype while it was airing doesn't really help)

Everything I've seen about Buddy Daddies makes me think I would enjoy it, and the only anime I've truly enjoyed in something like 15 years is Tiger & Bunny, so that's saying something.

Sadly I don't have enough interest in television/ movies to justify subscribing to any of the streaming services, so I don't have a clue how/when I'll ever see it, seeing as video rental stores don't exist anymore.

I hate driving. I literally get sick with anxiety when I have to drive anywhere other than to work.

Eating.

I just take absolutely no pleasure in eating. I hate doing it. I know I have to and I make myself ingest at least one meal a day but I just fucking hate it.

Brush my teeth. I floss after every meal and snack but I loathe brushing my teeth and rarely do it. I’m fine using mouthwash though and combined with the flossing no one would ever guess I don’t brush. Even my dentist has no clue.

Talking on the phone. Family, the doctor, the bank, whatever. I can't see their face and my brain tells me almost every time that they're dying to hang up on me when I tell them about my day, or they think I'm stupid for asking these questions, or bothering them when I request a service, etc etc.

I collect phobias like it's a hobby. Right now the most "fun" are escalators. Especially since big malls keep making them transparent on the sides. Argh

I hate driving as well. I have a work thing on Saturday that’s a two-hour drive away and my stomach’s been hurting all week just thinking about it. I also hate washing my car. I’d rather clean the bathroom than wash my car.
