"Please include notes about what you're doing for diversity in your minutes" is an actionable goal - OTW can include a section on that in the minutes of all their big meetings, and everyone can agree that it has happened. Clear, and to the point.
But there's a lot of rhetoric in the movement that's just kinda vague, "Do better!" So... what kind of measuring-stick do we use for "better" exactly? When do we agree that this goal has been met and it's time to stop protesting? Who makes that call?
While I understand the desire to say, "Do better!" I'm more inclined to support a movement that has actionable goals.
