Everyone's artistic expression should be protected even if it makes you uncomfortable. You can find it tacky and vile and just avoid it all you want.

Sure. You can write what you want. And in most cases, what people write and what people do irl does not have a correlation.
But don't be offended when the dude writing about raping women rapes women and someone says "yep, checks out".

AYRT OK I understand that. Thanks for the clarification that you're not somebody who thinks touching on dark subject matters is automatically suspect. A lot of the "saw this coming" type of comments that I have read and heard around the Lindemann allegations end up going back to this, (or into "he is publically into bdsm so of course he's a sicko") and it is exhausting.
