What happened with Tatsuhisa Suzuki?

Seiyuu cheating scandal, same old, same old. Paparazzi meddling in a married celebrity couple's life and outsiders freaking out and 'cancelling' the allegedly-cheating-part celebrity's career as if cheating wasn't VERY common everywhere in the world and particularly in Japan. As far as I am concerned nothing happened, he is alive, married, well and probably babysitting their kid right now. But the industry *sigh*

Just because cheating is common doesn’t mean it’s right. But it shouldn’t affect his career even if that’s the case. It’s something that happened in his personal life that affects no one outside of it. And not up to the media or public whether to forgive him or not, that’s completely up to his wife, and nobody else. It’s definitely not up to them to punish him for something that’s none of their business.

Yes, of course, it’s exactly this. For every seiyuu scandal I think, who says their wives didn’t know already? Who says they don’t cheat either? Why do outsiders think they should have more of a say than the woman (who might want to stay married and not have their private life disclosed)? Why should their private life affect (end) their career? etc. when I say it’s common I mean a lot of people condemning them may have cheated in the past but are hypocritical about it and choose to jump on the canceling bandwagon just because. Of course it’s not a matter of disagreeing that cheating in a monogamist relationship is wrong, but rather, believing that the media shouldn’t meddle that much on their private lives - it’s very tiring, at this point. They just dig whatever shit they can when they want to end a seiyuu’s career. And then everyone acts all-so-moralizing. Mind you I have never cheated and don’t support that in any way but remind me why should that change how much I like a professional as a professional?

AYRT

Oh. That sounds terrible and I sympathize with the voice actor. Glad he's alive, otherwise okay, etc. Making a note to put in my next Genshin user survey that I think they should ignore the drama and hire this guy.
