I admit to being curious if your anon is actually going to turn up.

But yeah, I don't much like having to deal with people who use whatever they think will make their argument seem the strongest, and then move the goalposts when you point out that they just grabbed some reputable-sounding word that doesn't actually apply. "It's canon" followed by "canon doesn't matter" when you show that it's actually not sounds like the sort of thing that should be the end of their credibility with other people, though. Regardless of what they want to keep believing.

This secret could be totally unrelated to the Ace Attorney secret posted earlier, and if so, there are a lot of incorrect assumptions being made in the thread. But that was less what you’re describing and more “new fan wades into Sherlock fandom with an itemized list of reasons why Johnlock would never work and is shocked and angered when that’s not enough to shut the shippers up.” As most of the people in the other thread said, it sucks when you dislike a juggernaut ship but you can throw all the canon and alternate headcanon you want at it and it’s not gonna budge.
