You guys, not a movie. A television miniseries. J. J. Abrams is attached to the project because Stephen King freaking loves Lost and sold the miniseries rights to the Lost creators for basically nothing.

I'm cautiously hopeful about the film version. I'm going to wait and see what actors they get and how they're going to actually do it before I start complaining.

Besides, if they make a movie/miniseries/whatever, it might get more people to read the books.

After reading the little info on Wiki, I'm not sure about this... Abrams is horrible at plot, but decent at dramatic shooting... the supposed screenwriter did decent writing (and the plot is already given after all)... but Christian Bale as Roland makes me extremely doubtful.

I dunno. I guess it coulda been worse?

I don't know why everyone gets a big dick about JJ Abrams working on DT. I mean, he can't make it any more drawn out and frustrating to get to the plot nuggets than Stephen King did. XP
