Right? Like, hell, I'm in the middle of watching a Cdrama right now and it's full of women exactly like that. Even the women who are still traditionally feminine fit those standards.

Nirvana in Fire! All of the female characters in that are excellent. Even the ladies in the harem are strong-willed and have their own goals instead of just sitting around and looking pretty.
