No evidence...except all the people saying they've seen it, that it's happened in their fandoms. You're asking us not to believe what we've experienced and seen with our own eyes.

I've been asked to do that in discussions about zoos, so yeah, I'd say that's in effect here. And it's honestly not a tactic that lacks merit. There is something useful about being able to provide receipts along with first person testimony to make a stronger case.
