Yeah, it seems clear that Monica was on her way up the career ladder at SWORD because she was good at it. Cared about the organization. Had the relevant skills and experience. After being un-snapped, she slides right back in to the first available SWORD assignment, and what do you know, she's good at that too.

Interpreting that as "oh no, she wasn't skilled or experienced at all, she only expected the job because of her family connections!" just sounds like racism, tbh.

And it's explicitly mentioned that her pre-snap job, astronaut, is something she did good work in, and that she simply dislikes not being able to do that job. She complains about protocol that she's grounded, yeah, but again, it's about her original job, and she doesn't complain about the investigation she's sent to do.
