What is everyone doing?

Visiting my sister with my niblings. We are going to watch Summer Slam and make tikka masala. Will probably take the kid swimming as well.

Working on my brand new neocities website! I'm doing a little bit of a sketchbook.
My HTML/CSS knowledge is very rudimental so It look like a .txt file with hyperlinks right now. Uuuh... But I started the site a couple of days ago and it already has some content inside. I'm very proud of it :)
Thank you to the people who wrote about neocities the other day! :D

I'm also working on a card for a friend who's getting married. I'll probably spend at least 5 hours on it, but I have clear ideas for what to draw and write on it so tomorrow afternoon I'm just going for it, hoping not to fuck up anything. I have until Monday to finish it.

Tuesday I'm going abroad and I need to prepare stuff for a 10 days journey. I really really don't want to think about that ^^;;

Where are you traveling to?

The US! I'm going to Alabama to meet a friend.
First time going to America and I'm travelling alone so I'm kind of stressed, aha.

I hope everything will be alright. I come from a small town in Europe, so I expect things to be very different there.
My English is good enough, but I don't how friendly people are where I'll go.

Honestly, depends on a lot. Where in Alabama you will be, your accent, (unfortunately) your race.

Sleep and watching Babylon 5. Got an ear infection, so planning on mostly resting.

Going to the gym for the first time in years. I used to love the working out but it didn’t pair well with anxiety, disordered eating, and a really unheathy relationship with food and my body. I think, after working really hard to get to a better place mentally, I’m finally ready to start lifting again.

I have the house to myself this weekend, so I'm just going to relax. Finally watch Good Omens S2, read, listen to some podcasts, possibly bake something (not sure because it's so hot!) and hopefully catch up on sleep.

I want to catch up on a couple I already listen to--It's Complicated (political/legal, hosts are a former federal prosecutor and a former FBI agent) and Truth & Justice (true crime). I also want to check out one called Smartless that sounds interesting.

The only thing I'm really planning on doing this weekend is going to the local goodwill in search of pots. I'm taking too good care of my houseplants and some of them are growing through the bottom of their current pots, lol. But, other than that, it's going to be a pretty chill weekend. I might paint some minis or work on art projects.

Since last weekend was Otakon and then I got right back to work the day after a 12 hour drive back? Resting. -_-

So far this has involved a lot of playing FF14. All my crafting jobs have new gear now and I've been running through silly minigames with some regulars all day.

I’m making a fast quilt on my embroidery machine and training with my dogs. I’m taking them on a massive road trip without my SO at the end of the month and I have a lot of prep to do for that. I need to come up with some packing solutions so their beds fit comfortably for them and my little guy can get to the rear window to look out but also have the road necessities in easy reach. I’ve already started looking at the route for chain pet stores near the interstate because that’s where I’ll be taking my bathroom breaks. It isn’t safe to leave them in the car all locked up to get cooked to death and they and my car will definitely get stolen if I leave them in there with the windows down. So Petsmart and Petco for the win :D

It really is delicious. I hope your trip goes well.

One day of work and the rest of the weekend goes to working on my own stuff. Seems okay by me. :D
