There was this fantasy movie that I remember enjoying as a kid. That involved a character turned into a polar bear at one point. And a magic-wielding villain.

Some version of East of the Sun, West of the Moon? Or Snow White and Rose Red? Those both involve enchanted bears iirc.

I don't know if anyone on FS is young enough that His Dark Materials or especially any of the filmed versions would be it, and also the polar bears are just talking polar bears.
