Re: What is some childhood stuff that you enjoyed that you don't know if anyone else did?

Children's books with fables and other tales, I guess. One book had multiple stories, one of which was titled "Naughty Sophie." (unless it was Sophia) It was about a little girl would get punished for constantly getting into trouble.

Unfortunately it's very difficult to look for a title like that on the internet, if you know what I mean. :P I managed to find similarly themed books from 1800s childrens authors but I'm not sure it's the same thing.

Another book had "fables," which were one page stories with morals. They included a story about some bird ladies (I think ducks or geese) who changed the path they walked home due to a bad incident with a fox (No, it wasn't Henny Penny/Chicken Little), a moral about having too much order in your life (some bedridden bear or other animal who enjoyed his flower wallpaper and freaked out about his wife's messy garden), other morals about keeping expectations low or realistic (an animal who dreamed of a big catch as he fished) and being healthy (a pig who changed his diet and felt good). There was also a story pointing out that the high and mighty have the greatest distance to fall. Can't remember the others, but that might be for the best. Part of me would hate to find this book again and discover it was written by awful folks or something. (I know, that's terrible of me.)
