well, you'd probably be put on medication anyway, wouldn't that be the standard course if you were develop Alzheimer's disease or dementia?

hmm....hadn't thought about that....and my grandma had alzhiemer's so I could potentially get it.
My mom told me if I developed it, I'd probably end up running around through the nursing home screaming that I was Batman. lol

Oddly enough, I have had that same fear. I don't know what it is - like a fear that one day, I just won't know fantasy from reality.

That would be fun, though!

I don't think you'd be put on any kind of extra medication/into more intensive care for thinking fictional people are real if you've been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Chances are you'd already be in care by the time you could no longer distinguish between fiction and reality.

I lolled at the thought of Pete Wentz being fictional!

My Grandma is well into Alzheimer's and she does similar things. She thinks she knows Luis Miguel, a famous singer, and talks about the character Walker from 'Walker, Texas Ranger' (played by chuck norris) like he is a real person.

Now that I think of it, that's probably going to happen to me, too. XD I mean, I don't think I have a history of Alzheimer's in my family, but that doesn't meant I can't develop it. And when I do, I'm probably very likely to call my pets various Pokemon - especially Espeon and Suicune. X3
