SasuSaku is pretty obvious, so don't worry about it. When it finally becomes canon you'll be able to gloat!

That's not going to do anything but make us look like idiot canon nazis. If you gloat, you give those people leverage to call us shallow and stupid fan girls.

My advice would be to ignore them. Who cares what they think when they're the ones calling us shallow based on shipping preferences?

I can support this ship on one condition: at some point Sakura beats the ever-loving hell out of Sasuke.

Otherwise, I think it's ooc to have Sasuke with anyone (except maybe Naruto, but that has zero chance of ever being canon) at least for any romantic purpose. I know, that doesn't make a terrible lot of sense, but that's how I feel.

ITA on her letting him have it. If he didn't go back to Konoha I could kind of see him with Karin (if she's still alive; I'm way behind on the manga), but I think if he winds up with anyone it'll be Sakura.

I don't ship it on that one condition, but Sakura at least giving Sasuke one good punch to the face through a wall is probably what I'm hoping for most in the manga right now. It would make me love it so much more.

it's one of the most popular het pairings in Naruto, so.

But me too, anon. SasuSaku was one of the first ships I ever boarded and I intend to go down with it.

No worries I ship it too and know people who do too and some who don't but wouldn't judge you.
I get phases in which I don't like it. Mostly because Sasuke acts stupid and all fic for the paring is emo.

But I don't think everyone would think that you are a shallow fangirl. :)

I hate Naruto pairing wars in general. I like both NaruSaku and SasuSaku (though not NaruHina), and it does seem like half of the fandom only sees SasuSaku fans as annoying fangirls.

Why would they do that?
Isn't that one of the bigger ships?

I'm not too big on SasuSaku, but if I were to ship either one with anyone, it'd be each other *shrugs* I don't see why you'd be considered silly though.
I'm sure it'll be canon sometime.

I'm not into Naruto, but I can definitely relate to how you feel. Don't let the hate mess with the love. If the ship makes you happy, then who cares what others think of it or you?

I like the tragedy of SasuSaku (SakuSasu? :P) same as I do NaruSasu. It's all good, and I don't automatically assume a fan of either pairing is shallow for their tastes. SasuSaku has the potential to be really deep, heartbreaking, unhealthy, and desperately romantic! If people just brush it off as a "shallow fangirl" pairing, I think they have a pretty limited view on characters and their relationship with one another and I wouldn't worry about their opinion on the matter.

I ship SasuSaku, too. It's my OTP of the series. ♥

My OTP for Naruto is SasuNaru, but I definitely support SasuSaku because... well, it's a hell of a lot more canon than my own pairing. I'm pretty open-minded with my pairings--SasuNaru, SasuSaku, KakaSaku, even NaruHina. There's no reason why one should kill all the others.

I don't think you're shallow if you support that pairing, not a bit. ♥ Different strokes for different folks is all it really amounts to in the end.

When it comes to Naruto pairings... there is such a little focus on it in the manga that it mostly depends on everyone's personal interptetation, what he/she finds to be more of a hint, what he/she sees into the characters as possible feature behaviour.
And shipping can be quite personal subject anyway, we all have different reasons for it.
But really, everyone is free to ship anything they want and for any reason they want to...
...as long as they don't throw their personal preferences as "facts" in my face.
But the Naruto pairing fandom is batshit crazy and I'm glad I'm not a fan of either of the "big three" - for one, the rival ships fan can be crazy, and the fans of Your pairing can be so lame~ which result in secrets like this. -.-'

So just ship and be happy with it.
tl;dr SasuSaku is the last pairing I'd ship but damn, the fanart for it is HOT.

Ignore those idiots - I've always thought it was stupid to bash someone's ship, canon or not. The whole point of fandom is to have fun... I don't understand why so much drama is stirred up just because I ship X/Y, he ships Y/Z, and she ships X/Z. I ship Kakashi and Sakura, but not everyone will agree with it. And you know what? I'm okay with it - I still enjoy reading fics with pairings that I wouldn't have necessarily thought of myself. One of the best I've read in the Naruto fandom was an NaruHina fic or drabble (I can't remember which at this moment).

Again, ignore the idiots and just have fun. :)

Sometimes my friends, who hate the ship with a passion make me feel shallow for shipping it when they rant about why they dislike it. But I have my reasons for shipping the pairing, and they have theirs for not shipping it. They respect that and I respect the fact that Sakura/Sasuke is not their favourite ship.

We all have different tastes when it comes to shipping but no one has the right to call you a shallow fan girl based on something as silly as shipping. That's why I would advise you to ignore the idiots who call you "shallow" based on shipping because if they're gonna judge you like that before they've even got to know you, they're not worth getting upset over.

And in repsonse to what an anonymous person said, don't gloat if Sakura/Sasuke becomes canon. That will just give the bashers another reason to pick on you, and will cement their beliefs.

Dude, this. :< I used to ship NaruSaku a lot but then suddenly jumped to SasuSaku and...well, I can't help but feel sad when seeing how some of the fandom treats its fans. Yeah, some just ship it because it's canon, but I'll ship it even if it doesn't become canon. ~~Though I'll be really sad if that's the case.~~

I think a lot of people love this ship and are afraid to be called shallow.
But there are a lot of other shippers out there who appreciate SasuSaku, even if they don't ship it themselves.

Just ignore everyone who says your shallow.

Wow, I'm glad to see that so many people have already responded to this! Sasuke/Sakura is my Naruto OTP, and slowly climbing to be my het OTP of OTPs- and yes, I feel your pain on this issue, but I am also seeing much more support for SasuSaku that I ever expected to! And this makes me very happy! :D

As some people already said, ignore the negativity (sentiments like this will come up about any pairing in any fandom anywhere depending on who one asks, and that's the whole reason I find ship wars so pointless) and try instead to find fellow supporters of SasuSaku and focus on having fun! :D

There are lots of SasuSaku fans out here, and many who can see the potential they have for a strong, healthy, and balanced relationship on equal ground too :D
