That's probably why the author's hiding her (?) identity -- so that things don't get taken as the Word Of God and make fans uncomfortable.

I don't know why not... I know Mangaka sometimes make doujins of their own work. It's not supposed to be canon. It's just the author having some fun writing what-ifs that either couldn't work in the canon, or would be unpublishable (too dirty) in the canon.
