I respect that Greta Gerwig has been firm about Lady Bird not being autobiographical beyond some details of time and place. That being said, with the movie ending with Christine basically in the same place Greta was (most likely NYU with a writing focus) at that age, I can't help but sort of imagine that Christine is having the same future.

So when Barbie broke a billion and Greta made history, goddam was I thinking, "Fuck you Marion, she *can* pay you back for your shitty mothering!"

SA Edit - please change "NYU" to "college in New York". My silly ass should have googled Greta's Alma Mater before writing the secret.
