At this point I can only assume DC's strategy was to make movies so bad that they killed the whole Superhero movie genre in order to defeat Marvel, and that strategy seems to have paid off. A lot of people who are saying they are sick of superhero movies, before they start the inevitable rant about Marvel samey-ness or woke female superheroes, start off with how DC movies sucked. Way to go, DC.
