Thanks for responding and giving some kind words nonny. I wasn't expecting anyone to respond. It's been a rough few days. Other people's moods can affect me and it can feel a bit too heavy at times.

I get affected by other people's moods a lot too. Something I realized from how you worded your original vent is that you might be the employee's superior at your workplace? Is it possible they don't realize how little control you have over their situation...? Maybe you could redirect them to the correct person if they're having problems that they need more support with. Idk if that would help or if they're just the type to enjoy complaining, lol.
