Re: What was the last thing you watched and/or read (and did you enjoy it)?
(Anonymous) 2023-09-03 02:59 am (UTC)(link)I haven't read the book and in fact had never even heard of it until I watched RWRB. So, knowing nothing of the author's opinions, I could believe it. There are sex scenes in the movie but they're very bland (the main one is filmed mid-chest up, with no movements at all). I've heard fans saying that sex scene was amazing and so hot, and I'm now concerned about their sex lives. I've seen hotter sex scenes on actual broadcast tv. So, ymmv.
RWRB is the crappy, tropey, cheesy romcom that the straights have ten thousand of. I enjoyed it for what it was with no expectations, but by no means would I say it's an example of a good movie.

(Anonymous) 2023-09-03 02:04 pm (UTC)(link)Oh, it's not inexplicitness, it's literally two dudes lying on each other like dead fish not moving. The camera only showed mid chest and up, but even in my minds eye it the rest of it looked awkward as fuck. XD
