Would people here be interested in an anon meme? We haven't had one in quite awhile and I've noticed that lately the general comments section has been pretty active, sometimes rivaling the secrets. Do you think an anon meme would be fun? Not fun? Is there a reason we stopped doing them, like lack of interest or another issue? To be 100% clear I'm just asking as a member, that would be a mod decision in the end, but I'm curious about your thoughts.

It's true that bullying happens in that type of setting, but this entire community is for largely anonymous discussion of fandom opinions and gripes, often controversial, as the baseline for the community, so I wasn't picturing what you were. Perhaps I was being naive?

Yeah, I'm not sure how much need/interest there is for one, given the way general comments functions. I got curious about it when I was thinking about how long I've been on this comm and what's changed, and realized that is one difference.

Honestly, the only thing we don't do in the GC section that used to happen in the Anon Memes of Olde are call-out posts and various meme-adjacent things that were really just slightly more convoluted and passive-aggressive call-out posts.

I don't miss that type of thing at all. I would say that the GC have a bit less silliness, and anon memes would also sometimes have really in depth discussion of fic and headcanons that I don't see as frequently here.
