I don't block every bigot I come across online, unless they're acting in a way that I want to make absolutely sure I don't encounter again, because I don't care enough to block every single person I see saying some nasty comment, but if they're being bigoted in conversation with me or in a fandom space I share with them I will use the block or mute function, or whatever the site offers. I don't want to waste energy on people whose beliefs are completely against my values. I'd rather just end the conversation and end their access to me. We aren't going to agree and their comments are just going to upset me, why should I be ashamed of being upset that someone believes I or my loved ones are subhuman? Sometimes a conversation is worth having with someone who is ignorant rather than malicious, and sometimes it is not, but my own safety and wellbeing come first in my hobbies, unlike in other situations of my life where I am willing to take risks. I have zero tolerance for certain types of bigotry such as neo-nazi content in my hobby spaces, if that makes me weak than so be it...
