I had many bullies, but this guy was the first one (he literally started on the first day of kindergarten when our teacher made us get into pairs for a tour around the school, and he spent the entire time kicking me), and he was in my class several years in a row, so he stands out to me.

One thing that really pissed me off wasn't even the bullying itself, but the fact that I was always being told off for trying to stand up to him, no matter how mildly, but no one ever seemed to say anything to him for constantly hitting and kicking me. In the recess line, he'd always stand next to me and punch and kick me. If I told him to stop, they'd tell me to stop talking. If I moved away, they'd tell me not to move in line (even though I always moved BACK in line, not ahead). Nobody ever said 'hey, stop punching and kicking her' to him, though.

oh god, me too! also my parents thought I was following the inbred little shits around for some reason, plus they didn't want me fighting back because they thought that would impress Jesus.

It's the enablers who are the fucking worst, especially adults who should know better. Such cowards afraid of rocking the boat. Sorry you had to deal with that shit.
