There's been a resurgence in interest in physical media lately, as people realize how ephemeral digital media really is. You really, truly own a DVD; it can't be taken back from you, except by force. That isn't the case with a movie you've downloaded.

So, there's hope, anon. But also...it's probably a good idea to name the fandom.

I mean, technically if you pirated a movie and saved it on an external drive, then you do kinda own it and it can't be taken back.
