I started rewatching TMNT 2003 and part way through my rewatch was interrupted by a rabbit.

Now I’ve ordered the first volume of Usagi Yojimbo and I’m not sorry for the person I’m becoming.

I don’t have anyone that I can tell that I’m not enjoying the new series of Taskmaster. On Reddit, it’ll get downvoted immediately. And none of my friends are into that kind of show in the first place.

I just really want someone to say “it’s okay not to enjoy the dynamics this time around” and not imply I’m somehow being unfairly judgmental about these comedians (or that it’s just my depression getting worse).

Fandom: Taskmaster (specifically s16)

I've finally figured out why I've disliked reading most Trans!character stories.

It's because I don't like reading characters having gone through the trauma of gender disphoria. I know not all Trans people do experience it, but most of the stories in my fandom feature or imply it.

Tbf, I also avoid non-con and homophobia tags as well. Guess I like my fics trauma free 🤔.

It's been years, and I stopped watching anything Arrowverse ages ago, but I still hate Mon-El in the Supergirl series SO much.

I am not a fan of the Draculaura Vampire Heart doll. I have seen almost nothing but praise. The hair is not cute at all, and the details of the dress get lost. She doesn't look good displayed in the box either. Absolutely not worth the high price tag.

Fandoms: Fleabag and His Dark Materials

His Dark Materials had Andrew Scott play a character with a daemon (his soul in an external, female animal form). When I realized they had Phoebe Waller-Bridge voice his daemon, I swear something healed in me.

I love the idea that there's a world in the multiverse where Fleabag and the Hot Priest are together for life, sharing one soul.

I finally watched Howl's Moving Castle thanks to GKids putting on their Ghibli movie fest. I burst into happy tears at the ending; not because of Howl and Sophie but because of the overhead shot depicting the Witch of the Wastes being taken care of and given a home at the castle. Sophie had every reason to hate her but instead looked after her when her magic was taken from her, even spoon fed her and kept her wrapped in blankets. Howl should have loathed her too but instead treated her with kindness and gave her a home and care. It just moves me so deeply to see that kind of love depicted.

How is it that in the Star Trek movies the bad guy with most in common with Kirk, Kruge, is the least interesting of all the movie baddies? He is the only one who truly had Kirk's measure. Even Khan didn't come this close to understanding or besting Kirk.

I think the biggest lesson in Seven Periods with Mr Gormsby was "own your differences and don't be ashamed of them". There is nothing shameful about being different, no matter what that bastard Steve thinks.

I still say Chewin' the Fat's Star Trek sketch, Taysiders in Space, ought to be made Star Trek Canon.

I wish the anon commenter on FS who sees it as their duty/game to "call out" everything would take a fandom break for a few months to chill out. They are making this place really toxic.

I am unapologetically save scumming my way through Baldur's Gate 3. I even lowered the difficulty for a fight or two because I was getting so frustrated. Either the whole RNG system is seriously bad and unbalanced to the point of being just unfair or I am hilariously unlucky. Maybe both. But I refuse to let my playthrough be messed up by just being shit at rolling dice.

Main reason I'd really not be a good fit for any RL DnD party.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like writers for anime/Japanese video games have a hard time resolving stories. Either it's the ol' "cut off the story here and imply something happened, regardless of unresolved emotional energy or anything else!" or "Hey, you know what would be a great idea? DRAG THIS SHIT ON FOREVER! ETERNAL SEQUEL TIME."

While I'm tired of smug people acting like the former is automatically the best thing in the world and you're an unenlightened twit if you don't see it (fuck that! I ain't proud and I will have my resolution, even if I have to write it myself!), I've had to peace out of my share of stories that never knew when to quit.

(No, I have no delusions about what I'm owed by the writers. It's their right to end things how they want. I just wish there were a happy medium somewhere.)

There's lots of people in my current fandom who have my fandom juggernaut OTP as their NOTP because one half of my OTP crossed a moral event horizon, and yeah I absolutely get it. Hate away. I creep myself out when I try and get in the character's head to write fic about what they did, but I don't want to just ignore it either.

But there's one foaming at the mouth fan who couldn't stop posting in the ship tags about how much they loathe the character and flinging around accusations that (ship) and (character) fans are racist and sexist while being massively queerphobic themselves, and now part of me wants to write spitefic specifically aimed at them about their (half of my OTP/their fave) ship.

But I like their fave, and their fave's other fans don't deserve to get shit on just because an obnoxious fan of a rival OTP and a couple of their friends and fellow shippers wouldn't stay in their lane.

Even if they did successfully shame and/or annoy a lot of fans of my OTP out of posting about and enjoying fic and art about them. Assholes.

It seems to me like a lot of people have forgotten the point Inside Out made about toxic positivity. I find that collective amnesia kinda depressing.
