2. I actually do that, and honestly most of the times, when I istantly don't like a character just by looking at it, it confirms to be a bad (or better, a type of chara I don't really like) chara.
There were very very few exception from what I've seen so far, and the only one I can remember at the moment is Lacus from Gundam Seed.

5. I think everyone has the right to cosplay if they want to, though obviously other people has the right to judge them.
